FINAL 3D MAX RENDERINGS OF SAMMY

This curious character is one of my Photoshop rendering of my alarm clock project

This is a short storyboard explaining the overall outcome of the device

Things that came up when looking into reasons for new design (Alarm Clock for sleeping disorders)

Young People

Their bodies are also biologically set up to go to bed later than at any other age
Often with preferred sleep times of 1- 2 AM or later

ADHD

Many kids with ADHD also are naturally long sleepers
They will easily sleep 12-14 hours of every 24 unless someone wakes them up

Deep sleep

Deep sleep is indeed deep, the closest we normally get to natural coma
It's really hard to wake people up in deep sleep

The Mosquito or Mosquito alarm is an electronic device, used to deter loitering by young people, which emits a sound with a very high frequency.

FINAL (TEXTURED) RENDERING OF SAMMY
This is made to the final designs shown in my last photo shop interpretation

My first attempt at using clay to try a form Lilly's head, i did this so I could get a better idea of their 3D form

I apoligise about the mouth, when I intially was thinking of it I thought it would make her look more "Imaginary" but it ended up making her look weird

Initial Test Renders of Lilly

Photoshop Development of Lilly and Sammy

When thinking of developing Lilly and Sammy I decided to do it as Lilly is Sammy imaginary friend, so I did some research into why children develop imaginary friends and how it affects them later in life.

http://www.aboutourkids.org/articles/when_your_child039s_new_friend_imaginary

This article explains about when a child is likely to develop an imaginery friend and how parents see it as an alarm, while on the other hand this can be healthy for the child as a way of learning to communicate.
